Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo on Friday made a prayer requesting urging Kenyans to join him in interceding for France to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Via a tweet, the ODM legislator stated that his decision to support France was after much thinking and having compared with other teams' performances throughout the competition.
"After pondering, weighing, examining, and deeply considering the very heavy matter of World Cup football winner, I’m happy to say I cast my lot with France. Yes! Pray with me," he urged.
His request elicited mixed reactions from a section of Kenyans online with many assuring that they were praying with him.
One user commented; "Praying with you Mheshimiwa!"

Some sided with the MP judging by the fact that most of the players of the French team are of African origin; "Besides the quality of the squad, it's the only African team remaining."
Others were not of the same opinion as they touted their teams would win.
"Team Belgium ndiyo (are) 2018 champs, Air France is waiting for you," one user stated.
A Kenyan supporting England in the football competition: "I am sorry Sir, haven't you heard, "it's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming."
"Continue pondering but in the finals will be Sweden vs Belgium, I bet your team is not in the finals my senior," another declared.
France is scheduled to face off against Uruguay on Friday evening for their quarter-final match. The winner of the match will advance to the semi-finals where they will meet either Belgium or Brazil.
