A trending image of popular American rapper Cardi B got netizens all over the world sharing hilarious memories of tattle-tale kids from their childhood and Kenyans were quick to join in.
Localizing the trend, Kenyans shared funny phrases, moments and memories that most people in the country can relate to.
The captions focused on that one child who would refuse to share their bike citing orders from their parents or write the noisemakers list in class with 'x10' next to specific names.
The image of a young Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar went viral around the same time as she announced the birth of her daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus fathered by Migos rapper Offset.
A section of Kenyans were quick to stake their claim as they pointed out the similarity of the Kiari with 'Kiarie', a common name from the Agikuyu community.

As for the memes, many took a nostalgic look back at moments that can only be associated with growing up in Kenya.
Some highlighted how their siblings would tell on them for every small offence including failing to taking a bath.
Others reminisced on phrases considered hard-hitting responses among Kenyan children such as "So? Sausage."
Kids who would inadvertently sell out their parents when lying on their behalf, specifically those who answered the door with the phrase "Mum has said I tell you she's not here".
Cardi has previously shouted out Kenya after she posted on Instagram a photo of a Nairobi matatu dedicated to her.
"This is in Kenya, Africa? I want to cry,” she gushed.
