Foreigners to Fund Governor Alfred Mutua's Presidential Bid

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has revealed where he will source Ksh18 Billion required for his 2022 presidential campaigns.

Speaking to Billy Miya and Mwalimu Mbaruk of Radio Maisha on Monday morning, the governor disclosed he is receiving a lot of foreign support form all over the world.

Mutua mentioned that he has managed to save Ksh3 billion and his friends will help him fundraise the remaining Ksh15 billion.

“I have so many friends who have contributed to that course they are committed to see me take that job and they are already contributing.

“I schooled abroad. I have friends in the United Arabs Emirates, US, Japan and Hong Kong who are ready to fund my campaigns. The source of money should not worry you, join me to change Kenya,” he stated.

He was answering a listener who wanted clarification on how he will raise the large amount of money given his salary is known by the public.

“They have told me that Kenya needs a visionary and young leader like me,” the former government spokesperson indicated.

During an interview with Citizen TV in June, Mutua disclosed that campaigns will cost him Ksh18 billion.

“You need money to reach a certain stage. That's the kind of money needed. It is worth it if you want to move this country to a new age. You have to do it. A time comes when you say that you are doing this for the people," the Maendeleo Chap Chap leader remarked.

He also disclosed that he had a formed a team to help him strategize on his take over of State House.
