He told the leaders to appreciate the fact that he enjoys support from all over the country urging them to recognize the strides he has made in shaping the country's political landscape.

"Who told you we can't have people to listen to us from Western Kenya!? My friend, do not joke with me. I can hold a rally in Kisii and it will be full. Even on my own, I can simply announce that I'll be in coming over and the people will receive me very well," stated Governor Joho.

He informed the gathering that he was keen and impressed by a number of the leaders whom he noted were unmoved by efforts to have them shift the region to support the ruling Jubilee party.

In recent days, several coast politicians have shifted allegiance and openly declared support for Deputy President William Ruto who has made numerous visits to the area.

The DP has won the support from various leaders from Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi and Taita Taveta Counties whose backing Governor Joho anticipates in his bid to go for the presidency in 2022.

Joho has recently, in the spirit of President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga's unity deal, met Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, Tourism CS Najib Balala signalling his readiness to work with other leaders across the political divide.
