It is understood that the team will face Everton’s first team meaning players such as Francis Kahata and goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch will face off with the likes of Theo Walcott and Jordan Pickford, to name a few.
“This is an amazing opportunity for the players and Kenyan football because it is worth more than anybody could offer money for,” an overjoyed Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr enthused.
Echoing the same, Sportpesa CEO Ronald Karauri added that the tour would give the players a chance to play with the best while sampling the best and oldest stadium in the world.
Everton is one of the most established clubs in the UK having played the most number of top-flight games in English football.
This marks the second meeting for both clubs, the first happening in Dar es Salaam on July 13, 2017, in a clash that ended 2-1 in favour of Everton.
