Four gangsters were left stunned on Sunday after a robbery attempt went wrong leading to the death of one of them.
The four had boarded a matatu that operates the city center-Lucky Summer route where they attempted to steal from the passengers.
Fortunately, the passengers responded and caused a commotion which caught the attention of police on patrol.
On receiving the alert, the officers reacted and gunned down one of the gangsters who was trying to escape.
The whereabouts of the other three remains unknown after they escaped on foot.
This is the second incident after another gang attacked a matatu plying the same route back in March.
The armed gang that consisted of young men and women left several passengers injured after robbing them of their valuables.
Pedestrians too were not spared since the gangsters stabbed anyone who got in the way as they escaped.
“I can see blood stains in the bus, people are traumatized here,” stated a reporter on the ground.
A rise of such incidents this year has left many Lucky-Summer residents in fear.
