Zedekiah Buzeki Clears DP William Ruto's Name in His Multi-Billion Business

Eldoret-based businessman Zedekiah Bundotich came into the limelight in the 2017 general elections when he defied the Jubilee party wave to contest in the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial race.

The flamboyant billionaire turn politician, in an interview on Tuesday morning, addressed his critics and concerns that DP William Ruto fuels the engines generating his wealth.

Speaking at Milele FM, Buzeki affirmed that the deputy president is one of his close friends but had no contribution to his enterprise maintaining that he is the real hustler.

"I usually ask people to go verify ownership details for my entities and those who can not do so give me a hard time explaining that all that I own has nothing to do with the Deputy President. At the moment a number of people are starting to accept and some are convinced that it's just my hard work and prayer, I am a prayerful person," stated Buzeki.

He revealed that his sister, Diana was the only business partner together with whom they started a business empire behind his riches.

Buzeki recalled having started off as a milk vendor and later translating into a farmer that has now made massive investments in agricultural enterprises that generate revenue.

The 2017 gubernatorial seat aspirant also dismissed claims that the Deputy President had pushed him to seek an elective seat in Uasin Gishu insisting that the desire to unseat Governor Jackson Mandago was his own idea.

"Being a governor is not an easy job. It is not a role you can pick or pursue just because someone asked you to do so. I am very close to the deputy president but I did not even notify him when I sought to contest as a governor, not even through a text message," clarified Buzeki.

After losing to the incumbent, Buzeki admits that he resolved to support Governor Mandago for his second term and shall seek to succeed him in 2022.

When asked about his vision for Kenyan youth, Buzeki conferred that most youth lack resources to create opportunities for employment.

He dwelt on his plans for young people in Uasin Gishu pledging to set up business hubs in Eldoret so as to improve their livelihoods.

"If I was made President today, I would have allocated every Kenyan youth half a million shillings immediately when they turn 25 years. Half of such young people would use that money to pursue further studies and other will invest the money in different ways," desired Buzeki.

He interestingly argued that even if the youth would spend the money recklessly, it would still be cash flow in the economy and would only cost the country an estimated Ksh12 Billion annually.

Buzeki concluded that he will support DP Ruto as opposed to Gideon Moi's presidential bid arguing that the Baringo Senator had not come out to state his agenda for the presidency.

"I will support him(DP Ruto) in 2022, as a community we have agreed that he is a front-runner and a sure bet for us. But for Gideon Moi, I can not say much because he has not come out to say what he intends to do for the Kenyans," argued Buzeki.
