ODM Party, through its Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday, issued summons to two Members of Parliament and eight Members of the County Assembly.
The affected politicians are supposed to appear before the committee on October 10 at exactly 9.am.
In a statement to newsrooms, the party’s Director for Communication Philip Etale indicated that the committee arrived at resolution after receiving complaints from concerned party members.
While appearing before the committee, the summoned leaders will prove why disciplinary action should not be directed at them.
Top of the list is Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and her counterpart Suleiman Dori (Msambweni) who have lately shifted their allegiance to Deputy President William Ruto.
The same was also directed to Nakuru Minority Leader Peter Palang'a and Masire Dugi Oyagi, the Majority Leader in Nyamira County.
Others are MCAs George Morara Abuga, Damaris Nyarangi Muoni, Mose Abel Mokaya, Morere Carolyne Gesare, Mwamba Monica, Immaculate Joyce Adhiambo.
Hon Jumwa and Hon Dori had, earlier in the year declared their support for Ruto’s presidential ambitions sparking outrage from their counterparts.
The MCAs set to face the committee had also accompanied their peers in Western Kenya for a visit to Ruto at his Karen office in August.
It is believed that this behavior angered ODM party leaders and laid the basis for disciplinary summons.
The statement further elaborated that the committee had received Notice to Show Cause Letters implicating MCAs from Homa Bay County.
According to Etale, the disciplinary committee that is led by Fred Athuok will act accordingly in all cases.
