Boni Khalwale Shares Stand on Governor Okoth Obado's Murder Case

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale on Tuesday shared a post on the murder of university student Sharon Otieno that left some of his followers suspicious.

The Ford-Kenya deputy party leader stated that he stood in solidarity with Migori Governor Okoth Obado who was arrested as the prime suspect in the murder.

Khalwale tweeted: "This afternoon at the Milimani High Court I stood with my friend Governor Obado over the vexing question of the murder of Sharon Otieno. Let justice ring in all the villages of Migori and Homa Bay."

To which, one of his followers, @mandelaonchwanti replied: "You must be an accomplice in the murder."

The governor had appeared before High Court Justice Jessie Lesiit seeking to be release on bail pending the hearing of his case.

Justice Lesiit postponed her ruling on the bail application to Thursday, sending Governor Obado to two more nights in jail.

Majority of Khalwale's followers did not take it lightly that the deputy party leader stood with the murder suspect, posting their discontent over the matter.

Other followers questioned the former Senator on his stand, seeking clarification over where justice lay in the whole matter.

Other followers were supportive of Khalwale, commending him on his objectivity in the controversial case.
