Cosmas Korir Wins Ksh208 Million Sportpesa Jackpot

A former parliamentary aspirant in the August 8 General Election is the latest Kenyan to walk away with the SportPesa mega jackpot.

Cosmas Korir vied for and lost the Konoin parliamentary seat in Bomet county on a CCM ticket at the polls.

However, a year later, Korir won Ksh208,733,619 SportPesa jackpot announced by the gaming firm.

SportPesa wrote on its official Facebook page: “We have a winner! We are proud to announce that the #SportPesaMegaJackpot worth Shs 208,733,619/= has been WON!”

The statement added: "More to be revealed! Keep it here for the full update." 

According to reports, Korir is currently the Director of Agriculture in West Pokot County.

This is the fourth time the Mega Jackpot has been won after three lucky winners shared the jackpot in May 2017 just one month after Samuel Abisai pocketed Ksh221 million.

Gordon Ogada Paul was the third winner after scooping Ksh230,742,881 early this year — the highest amount won in the history of gaming in Kenya.

SportPesa runs the Mega Jackpot games every weekend which will start over again at Ksh100 million with the amount increasing weekly until someone wins by correctly by predicting the outcome of 17 games.

The betting firm stated that anyone who correctly predicted 12 matches and above in the latest jackpot will be awarded a bonus.
