Migori Governor Okoth Obado Rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital

Migori Governor Okoth Obado was on Wednesday rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital after falling ill while at the Industrial Area Remand Prison.

The governor was said to be admitted at the Private Wing of the hospital where sources conveyed he was recovering well.

Unconfirmed reports claimed that Governor Obado had suffered a bout of malaria.

The governor is also said to have been driven to the hospital in a private car to avoid media attention.

Obado's lawyer, Cliff Ombeta, confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that the governor was indeed unwell.

The lawyer added that he was scheduled to receive treatment for his condition that was perceived to be serious.

Governor Obado was arrested in connection to the murder of 26-year-old Sharon Otieno who he had an affair with.

DNA tests proved that Obado was the father of Sharon's unborn child who was also killed in the brutal murder.

The governor continues to maintain that he is wrongly accused despite having admitted to the illicit affair he had with the girl.

According to the family spokesman, Sharon is scheduled to be buried on October 19, 2018, at her grandfather's home.
