Jeff Koinange's Offer to Winner of Latest Online Challenge

Citizen TV anchor and JKLive host Jeff Koinange became the subject of a new online challenge with Kenyans seeking to out-do each other with hilarious memes and images.

The presenter shared some of the images posted under the challenge, further offering to reward whoever had the most creative image on the challenge.

"Folks..Someone decided to PHOTOSHOP me!!...Lets turn it into a CHALLENGE!!...Let’s see who can do the #JeffKoinangeChallenge BETTER than ME!!

"The person who WINS, gets to have COFFEE with ME!!," he wrote.

A section of eager Kenyans were quick to share their own images soon after Koinange made the announcement.

The presenter has faced serious criticism in recent weeks with a section of Kenyans accusing him of using his show to 'cleanse' individuals accused of various crimes.

While the sentiment has existed for a while owing to past interviews on JKL with top corruption suspects, it was amplified after an interview with Malong Jr, linked to South Sudanese military leader Paul Malong.

The interview came shortly after the release of an investigative documentary 'The Profiteers' delving into the protection offered to powerful S. Sudan officials in Kenya where much of their stolen money is laundered.

Paul Malong was among those journalist John Allan Namu sought to interview for the documentary but was denied access to his Nairobi home.

Koinange was accused of failing to question Malong Jr on the dire state of South Sudan and various accusations leveled against him.

His defenders, however, argue that he offers his guests an equal chance to explain themselves and their actions, alleged or otherwise.
