KNEC Boss George Magoha Calls for Porn Sites Ban in Kenya

Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC ) boss George Magoha on Wednesday urged the state to ban all porn sites from Kenya.

Magoha argued that the continued availability of the immoral sites was the main reason the country was experiencing a spike in teenage pregnancies.

He further blamed authorities and parents alike for not talking to their girls enough about family planning.

Getting pregnant when you are not ready is primitive and a sign of moral decadence and negligence from parents,” stated the Chairman as reported by Citizen.

The tough-talking boss further accused some authorities of encouraging the behaviour terming it as a process of multiplying to fill the earth as advocated for by the Bible.

He also called for the re-introduction of sex lessons as he acknowledged that it was necessary to curb the ballooning cases of teenage pregnancies.

According to a recent research by the United Nations Populations funds, more than 378,000 teenage girls fell pregnant between July 2016 and June 2017.

In 2018, more than 14,000 teenagers were reportedly pregnant in Kilifi County alone with the original figure estimated to be higher as some went unreported.

The statistics were a dismay so much so that it rattled the feathers of several other leaders among them Deputy President William Ruto and Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi.

Kingi suggested that the law be amended so that those responsible for impregnating school girls be castrated or have their penises chopped off, whereas, DP Ruto promised that they would face the full force of the law.
