Alert Over Huduma Centre Fraudsters Scamming Kenyans

The government, on Tuesday, issued an alert warning the public of fraudsters using Huduma Kenya to scam unsuspecting Kenyans.

The scammers had issued advertisements claiming that the centres are conducting a mass recruitment and have invited applications for various positions.

The applicants are further being convinced to send money in order to secure employment in the various centres.

Huduma Kenya has clarified that it is not conducting any recruitment at the time.

Members of the public are advised not to send or give money to anyone implying to assist them with employment at Huduma Centres,” read a statement from the government’s one-stop shop.

The communication added that “Huduma Kenya does not collect money for any employment-related activities.”

The police have instructed that individuals who have fallen victim to the scam or have any information about it to report to the nearest police station.

One may also contact the authorities through the cybercrime unit or the Nairobi computer incidents response team.

Citizens have been advised that Huduma Kenya job vacancies are only announced through their website at hudumakenya.go.ke
