Grace Kanamu Namu Remanded in Vioja Mahakamani Judge's Jamal Gaddafi's Murder

Grace Kanamu Namulo, a suspect in Jamal Gaddafi's murder has been remanded for five days to allow for investigations to be conducted.

She was arraigned before a Mavoko court where the prosecution requested for time to complete investigations.

Kanamu did not take a plea with her lawyer Tom Ojienda requesting the court to allow her access to medical services.

Senior Principal Magistrate, Charity Oluoch granted the request directing that she appear in court on December 18, 2018.

“I direct that the accused be locked up at Mlolongo Police Station until December 18 when she will be returned to court for mentioning. She should be taken to hospital for treatment,” Oluoch proclaimed.

In an earlier report, Kanamu gave her version of events explaining that the slain actor fell on the kitchen knife.

“Mr Gadafi accidentally fell on the kitchen knife when the argument we were having got heated. It’s not true that I killed him," she stated.

She also revealed that she "stumbled upon Mr Gadafi writhing in pain after he fell on a kitchen knife” in the incidence that took place on Tuesday evening.

According to a police report, the celebrated actor had an argument with his girlfriend who then drove a long knife into his chest. Jamal fell to the ground.

"It was reported that Jamal Nassul Gaddafi (39), was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namulo (40). She picked a knife and stabbed him," read the police report.
