Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri Calls For President Uhuru's Resignation

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri on Sunday called for President Uhuru Kenyatta's resignation alleging that he has lost touch with the team that helped him ascend to the presidency.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, a tough talking Ngunjiri blamed the Head of State over the wrangles rocking the party including recent controversial remarks by the party vice-chair David Murathe.

"I hear you are in Mombasa to reshuffle the Cabinet. If you are no longer capable of governing tell us we have a presidential election.

"In fact, if there's a government that has pinned down the its people both economically and politically, it is Uhuru's government," the vocal legislator stated.

The MP equally shifted blame to the president accusing him of initiating the 2022 talk that he recently vowed to stay clear of.

"During the campaigns, he (Uhuru) used to indicate that he would go for 10 years then his deputy would take another 10-year period.

Ngunjiri equally blamed Uhuru of being behind the perceived animosity by a section of Kenyans against ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.

"Its Uhuru who taught us insults towards Raila and he carries all the blame," a visibly agitated Ngunjiri stated.

Equally, the MP alleged that the war against corruption was mere witchhunt against those affiliated to Deputy President William Ruto.

Ngunjiri further indicated that he would continue endorsing DP Ruto for the top seat not as payment of a political debt but in line with the Jubilee structures.
