Police Unearth Bullet-Proof Room Terrorists Hid Weapons at Dusit D2 Hotel

Police have unearthed a bullet-proof room inside Dusit D2 Hotel that was used by terrorists to hide deadly weapons.

The officers also discovered several rounds of ammunition and a number of grenades in the room where they took down the commander of the attack.

It took us very long to break into the room because the armoured door was very difficult to break. When we finally did, the commander, who was the last person to be killed, had so many grenades and rounds of ammunition in the room,” a source told the Star.

When they broke in, some grenades were on the floor while many were wrapped in the hotel’s laundry bags and hidden in drawers.

The police have since launched a probe into the hotel’s staff over a possibility they facilitated terrorists before the attackers struck on Tuesday.

After confronting the commander, the officers further disclosed that he was very well trained.

We suspect an inside job considering these people had been frequenting the place as they schemed the attack.

The five attackers had a lot of ammunition and their commander was very well trained. He gave us a difficult time and when he hid in the armoured room, that slowed us down as well,” continued the officer.

The terrorists hit the hotel on Tuesday in the mayhem that lasted for close to 20 hours killing 21 people and injuring several others.

Five people allegedly linked to the attack were arraigned in court and subsequently detained for 30 days awaiting completion of investigations.
