Mike Sonko Seen Working at Construction Site

A video of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko working at a construction site has excited netizens.

The undated video, which went viral on Saturday, shows the first-term governor filling up sand in a wheelbarrow using a shovel.

Moments later, Sonko is captured on camera filling up a bucket with sand and then proceeds to empty it in the mixer.

In the next frame, the Governor is seen spreading the ballast on a rooftop using a shovel. He then waits for the construction worker who was pushing the wheelbarrow to return.

While it's not unusual to see Sonko engaging in such activities, his skills at the construction site amazed his followers.

To top it all, the former Makadara MP didn't look out look out of place as he was wearing a cap, t-shirt, and sneakers.

Sonko has in the past admitted that he did menial jobs after being released from prison. He took up anything that came his way to support his young family.

He worked as a tout, in a hotel as a waiter and as a land agent where helped locals to sell their land to tourists.

It's quite possible that the Sonko also worked as a construction site worker in his past given the skillset that he demonstrated.
