A resident in Kasarani, Consolata Muthoni, has applauded the police boss who came to her aid on Thursday afternoon after her neighbours’ triplets fell sick.
Muthoni is a neighbor to the couple that got the triplets in December, 2018. According to her, the triplets were having breathing problems, when she decided to seek help from different leaders in Mwiki. Her search, however, turned unsuccessful.
“Someone gave me the OCS’ number and I called him, narrating we had an urgent medical case. He told us the station car was at the court but promised to send it to us immediately it arrives,” Muthoni related.
After a while, the Kasarani OCS called her promising that the driver was on his way to rescue the infants.
A report from the hospital confirmed the triplets had trouble breathing and were diagnosed with congested chests due to fumes emanating from a stove the mother uses to cook.
Kasarani OCPD, Robinson Mboloi, while narrating the incident to Nairobi News stated it was part of their job description to respond to citizens who needed their help.
“We sought to protect life and property, in this case, the lives of the ailing triplets were at risk. Hence, we acted in a way that ensured they were protected,” he stated.
Muthoni added the family was not doing well financially and requested support from well-wishers.
"The family is very poor, I had to ask for donations for the children’s clothes when they were born and their father has been jobless since his employer closed down his business[sic],” Muthoni added.
