A technical college that was opened by Deputy President William Ruto in December 2018 risks closure over its poor enrolment.
Ndia Technical and Vocation and Training Institute has only admitted 50 students in its first year of operation.
The institution boasts state of the art equipment and cost Kshs 50 million to construct.
College Principal Benjamin Muchiri has pleaded with parents from the country to enroll their children in the institution.
He added that the college is now particularly attractive since the government had subsidised the tuition fees.
"When I compare other such institutions which opened doors to students at the same time as ours, their enrollment ranges between 300-500 students," he regretted.
He wondered why parents were not enrolling their children despite some of them not making it to various universities.
