Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale made a sensational assertion that the National Super Alliance (NASA) campaign team employed propaganda and lies to de-campaign DP William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017 campaigns.
Speaking at a function on Sunday, the former senator apologised to the DP for being part of the NASA team that engaged in the “wrongful” action against him.
He also assured the deputy president that he would do all he can to ensure he is elected president in 2022.
Such will be manifested as an initiative of correcting the damage he had done before to the DP. Khalwale declared that he will relentlessly move around the country to campaign for Ruto and expose the negative side of NASA leaders.
Khalwale informed that the NASA leaders deliberately hatched plots with intentions of inciting Kenyans against Jubilee leadership for purposes of jeopardizing their re-election.
The former senator indicated, “Tulikuja kwa fikira zenu, tukawafunga kabisa tukawaambia Uhuru na Ruto hawafai, tukasema mambo mingi ingine ya uongo, nitatembea polepole nitafungua hizo nuts zote, nitakuwa kwa makanisa kama leo, nitakuwa kwa bull fighting, nitakuwa kwa matanga, nitakuwa kwa harusi tufungue hiyo.
"(We came and subjugated your thoughts with so many things about Uhuru and Ruto some of which were lies. We told you that they don't deserve to lead. I will move around to clarify that, I will go to churches like today, I will go to bullfighting, I will go to funerals, I will go to weddings to clarify that),"
Khalwale was speaking on Sunday, February 17 at the Amalemba Catholic Church in Kakamega where DP Ruto was in attendance.
The politician ensured to mention NASA principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula as the persons responsible for spreading the lies.
He also mentioned other politicians including Siaya Senator James Orengo and former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama.
Khalwale vowed to dedicate his resources to campaign for the DP to succeed President Kenyatta.
