Moses Kuria Celebrates 48th Birthday in Nairobi

Gatundu South Member of the National Assembly Moses Kuria, on Tuesday night, celebrated his 48th birthday in pomp and glam at a Nairobi lounge.

A source close to the legislator confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that the legislator was indeed celebrating his birthday after photos surfaced online of him in a club till wee hours of the morning.

The event took place at Kiza Lounge, a high-end club that prides itself of celebrating Africa through sight, sound and taste.

Taking to social media, the lounge posted photos of the legislator in a party mood captioning them "Celebrating Hon Moses Kuria's birthday".

"Celebrating Hon. Moses Kuria's birthday. How many more February babies do we have out there? Look who shares this month with you," posted the Kiza Lounge account.

The event was attended by former Nairobi women rep and Cabinet Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service Rachel Shebesh.

Kuria had earlier posted the photos on his social media account but pulled them down shortly afterwards but not before they were screenshotted.

While appearing on JK Live last week, the controversial lawmaker had announced his upcoming birthday and even invited the show's host Jeff Koinange.

In the photos that surfaced online, however, Koinange was not among the attendees and it was not clear if he had actually attended the party.

The embattled legislator has in the past come under fire, most notably, after reportedly attacking President Uhuru Kenyatta's development record for Mt. Kenya residents. He, however, clarified that the media took his words in the wrong context.
