President Kenyatta Fulfills 12-year-old Boy's Dream

Joe Githu Waithanda’s dream came true on Friday after he was accorded the chance to meet and chat with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House.

The 12-year-old boy is a pupil at St.Deborah’s Academy in Murang’a County.

Waithanda recited poems for the president on diverse dates at Thika Municipal Stadium in Kiambu County at Kenol in Murang’a County.

The student was not the only one recognized by the president today.

A 33-year-old contemporary painter also got an invite from the president due to his unique talent.

Teddy Muinami Mwae does paintings in braille that help the visually impaired appreciate art. He also provides mentorship to young people through his paintings.

The president also fulfilled his promise of a bus donation to Ngamia One Kochodin High School from Turkana County and Mukangu Secondary in Murang’a County.

He handed over the new buses to the schools' principals during a brief ceremony held at State House.
