Kenyans on Friday responded to President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision to drop Rashid Echesa as Sports CS in different ways.
A majority of netizens did not shy away from celebrating the misfortune that had befallen the outgoing CS.
Many made jokes about his education background, having been reported that he only studied up to primary level.
"It's so sad that a class one dropout has been dropped from the cabinet...pole sana (sorry)," commented Wellington Ochieng.
A section of Kenyans mockingly urged the former CS to enroll in school now that he had more time.
George Wambua advised, "When the only certificate you have in this world is your birth certificate and God uplifts you, my brother, thank God, but above all, tuck in your mouth and only open it when food is on the table."
A video of Echesa's public dare to AU Envoy Raila Odinga to fire him from cabinet also reared its head soon after the CS was axed.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino made reference to the clip and tweeted, "And it finally came to pass. It is a good thing to respect elders."
His alleged involvement in Senator Cleophas Malala's photoshopped nude photos also made material for ridicule.
Despite Uhuru cracking the whip on Echesa, a section of Kenyans was however not convinced of the president's commitment to ending corruption, arguing that he retained a majority of the CS mentioned in graft cases.
