Kenyan artiste King Kaka's wife, Nana Owiti, has broken her silence for the first time over a sad incident that saw her carry a dead foetus for seven weeks in 2014.
Taking to social media, Owiti revealed that she suffered depression after the realisation but time has been her biggest healer.
She narrated that she experienced the loss during her first pregnancy after she spotted a blood stain one day while in the washroom.
"I go to the washroom and get a blood stain. I freshen up and we head to the hospital. I tell the doctor my LMP (Last Menstrual Period) and of course, the stain," she wrote.
When she visited the hospital for inquiry, the sonographer asked her to take a test and that was when they discovered that the foetus did not have a heartbeat.
"He asks us to do a scan. the sonographer calls another sonographer. The first sonographer says ‘Hakuna (there is no) heartbeat.
"I gave King a quick glance and quickly gave those two sonographers another one expecting a ‘We just fooled you!’ My God! There was no taking back their words. I died a little. King was confused and I some more," she continued.
After the realisation, Owiti was taken to the ER where the medical evacuation was performed on her before she left together with Kaka and mourned the first child's demise.
They, however, did not despair from the excruciating experience since they later got other children.
Three months after the experience, Owiti conceived again and gave birth to Baby Gweth who was followed by a son three years later.
