Outrage as Crew Kicks Out Woman & Child From Matatu

A video of a driver and conductor kicking out a woman and her child from matatu has sparked outrage.

In a video shared on social media, the crew of the matatu identified as KBU 254G Meru Shuttle rudely forced the passenger to alight the vehicle mid-way the journey.

"The driver and conductor forced a mother and her child and out of the vehicle at Kenol (Murang'a) after she declined to squeeze on their seats so they can carry excess passengers," a message accompanying the video indicated.

The video recorded by a fellow passenger shows the conductor and driver hurling insults as they demanded the woman to alight.

At one point, the driver alleged that the woman had switched a ride from a different matatu, hence, she had no right of questioning their decision.

The woman demanded a fare refund of Ksh50 to enable her complete the remaining part of the journey.

However, the conductor was adamant indicating that he would not refund her as he continued hurling unprintables.

One passenger tried to intervene telling the conductor that he should consider the woman had a child.

When the woman threatened to report the matter, the crew mocked her indicating that they can offer the registration number plate as evidence.

The video has irked a section of netizens into demanding arrest and a tough disciplinary action against the matatu crew.
