An inferno, on Tuesday, razed down a section of Toi Market in Kibra, Nairobi County.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started at 3am with property worth millions of shillings being destroyed.
A registry section of Ministry of Mining located at Transom House in Nairobi was also affected with crucial documents burnt.
Emergency teams responded to the fire with reports indicating that the inferno had been contained.
No casualties were reported in the incident as Nairobi police boss Philip Ndolo stated that investigations were underway.
The incident comes a week after another inferno was reported at Kangemi which razed structures leaving more than 700 people homeless.
The blaze is reported to have started around 8am and took more than five hours to put out.
According to residents, the fire started from one of the houses after the owner left a kerosene stove on before it exploded.
“The fire spread quickly due to the intense wind. We were unable to salvage belongings due to poor accessibility,” a resident John Omondi was quoted by a local publication.
