Boy Popularly Known for 'Mathwiti' Video Releases Song

James Mbugua, popularly known as 'Mbugua Mathwiti' has released a new song explaining how the popular video came to be.

In the song sang in Gikuyu dialect, Young Mbugua narrates how he missed out on a birthday party five years ago, after he was chased out by a woman for being dirty.

He also expresses his disbelief, that five years later, the media covered his story, while others took time to give him all the delicacies he was longing for at the time.

Mbugua states that he can now afford the cakes and sweets he once longed for.

Kameme TV presenter, Muthee Kiengei wa Watoria, was among well-wishers who led other individuals in taking goodies to the boy.

The boy, who hails from Ndumberi, Kiambu County, came to fame after a viral video of him circulated on social media.

In the video, he emotionally narrates how he went to a party and saw many cakes and sweets but was never allowed to attend it.

The song was released three days ago and already has hit 140,000 views on YouTube.
