Gospel Singer Christonimph Wambui Dies in Grisly Accident at Kikopey

Gospel singer Christonimph Wambui, alias Vivah, died in a tragic accident along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway on Friday.

The deceased was famed for songs such as Umenitenda Wema and Jipe Moyo

According to Nation, Vivah was travelling to Nairobi to have her songs listed on Skiza when the accident occurred.

The 20-year-old singer was among the 12 people who lost their lives in the deadly crash.

The accident occurred when a truck hit 5 vehicles at Kikopey, including a matatu belonging to the 2NK Sacco. 

Vivah was one of the people in the matatu. The others were six women and five men.

Nakuru County Commissioner Erastus Mbui explained that the truck driver lost control while descending a sloppy section of the road.

He also revealed that all the 11 passengers who were in the matatu had died on the spot.

The truck conductor succumbed to injuries at the Gilgil sub-county Hospital.

However, the truck driver still remains at large as he fled after the accident.
