KTN Anchor Lofty Matambo Narrates Being Robbed at Gunpoint Twice

KTN News anchor, Lofty Matambo has revealed that he was robbed twice at gunpoint in Kayole, Nairobi.

Speaking to Standard Digital, stated the incident happened after Matambo moved to Nairobi from Mombasa in search of advancing his career.

“After relocating to Nairobi, I used to stay in Kayole and was twice robbed at gunpoint," he stated.

Matambo narrated the first incident happened on a Sunday after he got late at a friend's house.

"After leaving church on that day, I went to his house and stayed till around 9:30pm before I decided to head home,” he stated.

No sooner had Matambo left the house than he met with armed robbers who pounced on him.

“They caught me and threw me onto the ground before pointing a gun at my head. They made away with Ksh500 but left my briefcase which had a Bible only," he narrated.

Matambo indicated that the second robbery occurred when coming back from watching a football match together with his friends.

"Four very young boys armed with guns suddenly appeared cocked their guns before ordering everyone to the ground.

“I could feel the cold barrel of the gun pressed against my temple," he added.

He remarked that the second robbery incident made him more cautious of his surroundings.
