Pastor Refutes Swindling Victims Who Lost Ksh2 Billion to Kiambu Couple

A case involving a Kiambu couple who allegedly conned over 13,000 people of Ksh2 billion took a new twist after the victims allegedly accused their legal representative cum pastor of defrauding them of Ksh2 million.

The victims accused pastor Jane Kang'ethe of obtaining money from them under the guise of catering for their legal fees.

According to Daily Nation, the duped individuals caught wind of her alleged scheme after they made their way to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).

However, speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the pastor categorically denied the allegations citing that most of the figures being mooted around were quite inaccurate.

Reports claimed that only her name was found on the charge sheet and that she had appeared before the court and had the case withdrawn - an allegation she refuted adding that 32 people had already being refunded through her efforts.

Ms Kang'ethe added that it was actually 15,000 people who had been swindled by the infamous couple and that she would not relent in seeking justice for the rest of the victims.

"The whole fiasco and allegations is God's way of telling me to push until each and every victim gets justice," she stated.

Back in 2016, VIPortal Forex Traders, ran by Mr Wangai, was charged with defrauding Kenyans of Ksh2 billion.

Pastor Kang'ethe is reportedly a frequent guest on Kameme FM (a local radio station) where she runs a weekly counseling programme.
