Pastor James Ng'ang'a Arrested After Defrauding Businessman Ksh3.6M

Neno Evangelism Ministries Pastor James Ng'ang'a was, on Thursday, arrested again for reportedly defrauding a businessman of Ksh3.6 million, according to Nation.

Citizen TV, on the other hand, reported that the controversial pastor was accused of conning the businessman Ksh5.5 million and spent the night at Central Police Station in Nairobi.

It was, however, not immediately clear who the victim was or when the pastor was expected to be arraigned in court.

This marked the second time that Ng'ang'a has been arrested in two months.

Last month, the well-known Nairobi pastor was arrested for making threats to media personality Linus Kaikai.

That was after the Citizen TV journalist came out to sensitize Kenyans against fake pastors and ministries that were taking advantage of them.

Kaikai warned that many of the pastors in the country were only working to make money and not to serve God.

Pastor Ng'ang'a then hit back noting, "I'm telling you like a Chief General Commander, you have to stop that. If you don't stop, I promise you will face the consequences."

The pastor was later arraigned in court and released on a cash bail of Ksh200,000.

UPDATE: Nation reported that the pastor was, on Friday morning, released on a Ksh200,000 cash bail or Ksh300,000 bond and would be arraigned in court the same day.
