Uhuru Zeroes in on High-Tech Company to Achieve Big 4 Agenda

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday visited Natec Medical Device Manufacturing facility based in Port Louis, Mauritius.

The manufacturing facility uses the latest technology to manufacture, package and export cutting edge devices to over 35 countries across the world.

"I believe there are great opportunities that exist to deepen our cooperation in a number of fields and I believe as we move forward we will continue to strongly work together to ensure that we achieve and reach those objectives,” President Kenyatta stated.

The president made these remarks in his quest for the big 4 agenda during his state visit to Mauritius.

He extended a request to the company to request setting up a similar facility in Kenya.

The president stated that the facility would help the government in achieving one of the objectives of the Big 4 agenda of offering quality healthcare to Kenyans.

The devices include angioplasty balloon catheters intended for interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, gastroenterology and urology.

On his part, the president of the Republic of Mauritius, Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, commended president Kenyatta for his commitment to empowering African's economically.
