Reports by Daily Nation indicated that Magoha also warned the institutions against unplanned expansion, tribalism and duplication of courses.

The admissions, which were done by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service (KUCCPS) saw 89,486 students enrolled for degree programs.

Most of the 'A' students will study surgery, law, engineering, dental surgery, industrial chemistry, actuarial science and pharmacy.
