Jeff Koinange's Guest Surprises His News Director on TV

  • Citizen TV's Jeff Koinange's guest on his famous JKLive show surprised the newscaster's longtime news director Monica Kiragu with a cake during the show's recording.

Celebrating Monica's birthday, the guest, Patrick Njiru, who is a former rally driver, showed up in studio with a cake and presented it the delighted director as the cameras kept rolling.

He further proceeded to the gallery room which is Kiragu's work station and hugged her while presenting the gift announcing that it was from the crew of the entire JKLive Show.

"Monica, this is for you from all of us, the whole crew, the whole team. Happy birthday," stated Njiru.

Koinange also took the opportunity to brag about his ace news director who largely makes the show what it is today.

"There you go, finally we see what she looks like. Monica, everybody has been asking about you Monica. What does she look like? We want to see her.

"Well, there she is. Only Patrick could have pulled off one of those," state Koinange while clapping.

Kiragu, a veteran in the media industry since her days as a director at KBC, has worked with Jeff Koinange for the last two years.

Patrick also took the opportunity to condemn the deaths that resulted from an alleged street race competition that claimed the lives of some Kenyans.

He urged parents, especially mothers, to sit their children down and impart the importance of being responsible citizens on them.
