Female Prison Warder Found Stabbed in the Head

A 24-year-old lady, Pauline Wangari, was on Wednesday morning found dead with multiple stab wounds on her head and chest, in an incident that is believed to have happened on Monday night.

She was a prison warder at Murang'a GK prison and questions about her whereabouts started after she failed to show up for work.

Murang'a County Police Commander, Josphat Kinyua on Wednesday stated that Wambui could have been killed on Monday night but her lifeless body was found at her house in Kiharu on Wednesday morning.

“We have started investigations to establish the cause of the death of the prison warder, although by the look of things, it appears that it could be love gone sour,” Kinyua stated.

Reports by Daily Nation revealed that Wangari's friends described her as a beauty queen who loved to party.

“She was very beautiful, likable and very social; she liked partying and had lots of male friends whom she went out with, in local clubs.

"She had served as a warder for three years and had celebrated her 24th birthday on April 20,” one of her friends told the publication.

In another incident that happened in Namba village in Suna West, Migori County, a man set himself ablaze after his alleged partner travelled to Mombasa to see her ex-lover.

A neighbour, Liz Akida, cited that he saw Joel Okoth's body on fire but attempts to access his house were futile as he had locked it.

The deceased brother, only identified as Fred, cited that he had differed with his 35-year-old lover.
