Raila Allies Go All Out After Ruto's Remark at National Prayer Breakfast

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna together with Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi have criticised Deputy President William Ruto's comments about the former Prime minister, Raila Odinga.

The leaders stated that the deputy president was obsessed with the ODM leader as he used every platform he had to exhibit personalized attacks.

Speaking during the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday morning, the deputy president made a joke about Raila's CV.

Ruto made the joke after former UK politician Lord Michael Hastings asked if Kenya had a spare Prime Minister since Britain's Theresa May had announced her resignation.

In his response, Ruto fronted Odinga as a good replacement for Theresa May.

"On your request for a PM. We have a retired one in Kenya and since the constitution of Kenya doesn't have the post and he may not have it anytime soon, we will send you his CV," Ruto quipped.

Speaking during a press briefing, Sifuna threatened to send unemployed youth to the deputy president's office so they could ask him for jobs.

"How about DP Ruto first deals with the CVs of the millions of jobless youth we have in our country. He promised millions of jobs in Jubilees first term and even more in the second but he appears only keen on RAOs CV," Sifuna stated.

On his part, Atande added that Raila did not need employment, adding that God does not answer prayers where personalities are attacked.
