Ringtone Reveals Deal With Uhuru That Earned Him Ksh45M in 3 Months

Kenyan Gospel Singer, Alex Apoko, popularly known as Ringtone has finally come clean about one of the sources of his massive wealth.

Appearing on Upclose With Betty Kyallo on K24 TV, the controversial singer narrated that his fortunes changed significantly in 2013 after he made a deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He further detailed that the deal was so huge that he made Ksh500,000 every day for 90 days translating to a compounded revenue of Ksh45 Million.

"Music pays. I made a lot of money in 2013 when President Uhuru Kenyatta used my song.

"Can you imagine you have a campaign for example 90 days where you are being paid like Ksh500,000 every day? That is a lot of money," he conveyed.

Ringtone further revealed that he fully owns two houses in high-end suburbs of Karen and Runda.

At Runda, the outspoken musician told Kyallo that he leaves next to some big names of Gospel including Prophet David Owuor, Evangelist Pius Muiru, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru as well as Allan and Kathy Kiuna.

Ringtone also took the opportunity to address the controversy that surrounded his Karen home after he received a letter from the residents over the cows he reared there.

He explained that it was true he got the letter but blasted them for roaring non-domestic animals while frowning upon his edible herd.

"Mimi niliandikiwa barua na watu wa Karen. Nikafeel they are being unfair because wananiambia I do away with my cows. (People from Karen wrote me a letter. I felt they are being unfair because they told me to do away with my cows.)

"Hao watu wanafuga tumbili, nyoka na farasi lakini hawataki mimi kama kijana wa kutoka slum mwenye anafuga ng'ombe. Wanakunywa maziwa na wanakula nyama, (Those people rear monkeys, snakes and horses yet they do not want me, from the slum who rears cows. They consume milk and eat met)" he explained.
