Kieleweke MP Causes Drama in Church [VIDEO]

Members of Parliament who have come to be known by many Kenyans as 'Team Kieleweke', were surprised by hostile reception of one of their own at a church service in Murang'a County on Sunday.

Some of the politicians who were present at Mairuingi ACK Church were Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni wa Muchomba, Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, and former Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe.

When Muchomba tried throwing jabs at Kandara MP Alice Wahome, some congregants could not hear any of it.

"There is a certain woman you elected here who came to my county, Kiambu, to insult me..." she spoke in reference to the area MP.

Before she could complete her statement, some angry congregants started booing and shouting her down.

Police officers had to intervene and bundle out some of the citizens who were out of control.

Normalcy resumed after former Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru took the mic from Wa Muchomba, who was unable to proceed with her address about the local MP.

The previous day, the same legislator was involved in a public spat with Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu in the presence of First Lady Margaret Kenyatta at Ruiru dam.

"I saw how you (Waititu) were cornered and this should continue until stolen public funds are returned. We have a problem and it is only fair that I speak out as a representative of the people.” Wa Muchomba asserted.

However, her remarks did not sit well with Waititu who claimed that she was out to settle a personal score.

If you have any evidence against Baba Yao (Waititu), please take it to where it is needed. Stop bringing it up in churches, funerals and public events like this one graced by her Excellency the First Lady,” Waititu explained.
