Haraka Loan: How to Apply and Repay Mobile Loans in Kenya

A time comes when you're stuck financially and need a quick fix but no help is forthcoming, at such a moment you should try accessing a quick online loan.

Unlike banks which tend to be more rigid in their loaning programs, mobile loan apps are accessible to all smartphone users including the marginalized, remotely located and unbanked population.

One such mobile loan is Haraka. A loan from Haraka can be of great help if you need to settle minor problems.

Carefully follow our guide on Haraka loan application to receive your first loan allocation.

What is Haraka loan?

It is an android loan application owned by a South African lender called GetBucks.

Besides Kenya and South Africa, Haraka loan application also lends to people in Uganda, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania.

The company has helped millions of clients from different parts of the world to meet their financial needs since it was established in 2011.

Haraka app services are recognized by MFSA and NCR thereby making your money safe and secure.  Getbucks has built and maintained its systems with client needs in mind.

The primary goal behind Haraka app loans is to provide affordable turnaround capital for multiple people from around the world.

However, unlike other Loan Apps in Kenya with a higher loan limit of Ksh10,000- Ksh50,000, the Haraka loan application is a low range application that lends between Ksh 500 to Ksh5,000.

While this loan limit might seem small, your loan is almost guaranteed after application.

How to apply for Haraka loan

To get a loan from Haraka, you download the app from Google Play Store.

Upon downloading the app, you are required to open an account using your Facebook account.

The next step is to fill in your details which include:

1. Full Names

2. National ID Number

3. Email address

4. M-Pesa Number (Referred to as Wallet Number)

5. Date of birth (DOB)

6. Apply for loan

For you to qualify for the loan, you have to be between 18 years and 60 years old. Younger or older applicants will be dismissed.

Ones your details are filled in, the loan app will give you the amount you are allowed to borrow (the loan limit).

The loan should be repaid within a period not exceeding 30 days. Upon choosing the loan amount and the repayment period, the loan is credited to your M-PESA account.

It is worth noting that the loan amount attracts a 23 per cent interest rate.

This means that a loan of Ksh1,000 will attract an interest of Ksh230 in one month and the repayment amount will be Ksh1,230.

The interest rates may be high, but the convenience and ease of getting the loan may be worth it when you are in deep financial need.
