Ruto Breathes Fire on Tuju Over Leaked Phonecall

Deputy President William Ruto has come out to strongly criticise the management of Jubilee for fuelling division within the ruling party.

Speaking at Namanjalala Secondary School in Trans Nzoia County on Saturday, the DP warned the officials whom he accused of going against the party's principle of uniting Kenyans.

Citizen TV reported that in the leaked phone call, Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju and former Limuru MP George Nyanja allegedly conspired to sabotage Ruto's political ambitions. The party SG has however remained quiet over the matter.

"The party officials in Jubilee must know that they are managing the party that is responsible for the development of our country," the DP spoke.

"I want to advise them not to be used to bring hate and breed division and ethnicity in this party," he added.

Ruto's allies have mounted pressure on the party's secretary general to resign over the allegations of undermining the deputy president.

Speaking at the Kitale ASK Showground where Trans Nzoia Woman Rep Janet Nangabo hosted several women MPs, Kandara MP Alice Wahome and Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika advised that the SG should be replaced immediately.

"He has betrayed a government we founded. There is a lot of confusion and division in Jubilee and the person responsible is Tuju. Let him resign," cited Wahome.

"Tuju is responsible for the confusions in the party. He is out to finish JP and we are not going to allow it," Kihika declared.
