A 32-year-old woman from Thome Estate in Roysambu, wiped out her entire family, on Tuesday, before committing suicide.
It is alleged that the woman used an axe on the man, who is believed to have been sleeping, before using the same axe on her two children, 14 and three years respectively.
Afterwards, she is reported to have hanged herself in the house that they were living in, Citizen Digital reported.
The reason for the tragic incident has not yet been revealed.
George Mwangi Mugo, the Nyumba Kumi chairman, stated that the family had been in recurrent domestic fights.
He added that the 37-year-old man had on several occasions complained about being battered by his wife.
Bodies of the four are reported to have been taken to a Nairobi morgue.
Recently, such incidences have been on the rise.
In a similar incident, a man killed his wife and her lover, after busting them while having an affair.
The man who walked in on his wife and her lover at 2 Am at his Maili Tisa home, stabbed the man multiple times killing him on the spot before turning to his wife and strangling her to death.
