Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is never short of controversy in his daily activities.
On Wednesday, Kuria took to his Facebook page to mock Deputy President William Ruto over the assassination claims.
The legislator noted that DP Ruto had spent the whole day on Tuesday in a meeting with leaders from Northern and North Eastern Kenya.
He then went on to troll the DP stating that he was optimistic the meeting was held to discuss development matters and not plotting his (Kuria) assassination.
“Yesterday (Tuesday) the Deputy President met the leadership of Northern and North Eastern region for the whole day. I hope they were discussing development matters and not to assassinate me,” Kuria wrote.
Ruto, who was holed up in Karen office for the better part of Tuesday, was hosting the North and North Eastern Development Initiative (NEDI) meeting to discuss effective monitoring, implementation and accountability of projects.
Kuria, who has also declared his candidature for the Presidency in the 2022 General Election, poked at the DP over the said meeting.
This comes after forums that Kuria admitted to having been the organiser, held at the La Mada Hotel along Thika road, claimed to have discussed an assassination plot against the DP.
Cabinet secretaries who attended the meeting were summoned by the DCI to record statements after allies of the DP alleged that they wanted to eliminate Ruto.
CSs Peter Munya, Sicily Kariuki and Joe Mucheru all attended the meeting that brought a lot of controversies and political debate.
