Robber Pens Emotional Letter to Church After Failed Robbery

A thief who attempted to steal from PEFA church in Nyahururu has written an emotional confession letter to the congregants.

In the letter addressed to 'fellow christians' and signed out as 'letter from the person who broke the church', the thug divulged that he had been informed by one of the congregants about an amount of money that had been left in the church.

"I was sent here by one of you who told me that there was an amount of money left inside the church but I got nothing," he wrote.

He further asked the worshipers to remember him in prayers, citing that he was one of their own.

"God bless you all and pray for me thanks," he added.

On his part, the church priest, Peter Wanyoike, stated that there was some money but has since gone missing since the incident.

“We found the letter in the church when the police arrived to start their investigations.

"We believe there was some money in church. We have forgiven him, we are praying for him to get saved, he is welcome to confess and worship with us,” Rev Wanyoike stated.

Nyandarua Police Commander, Gedion Ngumi, cited that the police were investigating the matter.
