Leaked Emails Expose Woman Who Helped Uhuru Secure Presidency [PHOTO]

State House political advisor, Nancy Gitau, was the overall coordinator of President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election campaign.

A report by Sunday Nation indicated that she organised meetings, commissioned research studies and did all she could to help Uhuru secure a win.

According to the publication, leaked e-mails reveal that everyone who was involved in any stage of the campaign reported to her.

She was copied on every email alongside Uhuru's Personal Assistant Jomo Gecaga and would offer direction once in a while.

Gitau was first appointed by President Mwai Kibaki as an adviser.

When Uhuru assumed office in 2013, he opted to retain her in the same capacity.

Gitau also played a crucial role in the merger of The National Alliance (TNA) and United Republican Party (URP).

Reports indicate that she does not see eye to eye with Deputy President William Ruto.

Their differences recently played out in public when Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi accused her of chairing a meeting where a plot to kill the DP was hatched.
