Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, on Saturday afternoon, issued a resounding caution to the political class who have been touring the nation campaigning ahead of the 2022 general elections.
He was speaking at the official launching of the New KCC Factory in Dandora Estate in Nairobi.
President Uhuru Kenyatta attended the function to preside over the event where he commended the project in the area.
Sonko went on to wag his finger at the politicians using politics to hinder effective development in the nation.
"I do not want to hear anything about Kieleweke, Tanga Tanga or Team Wanjiku in my county. Our focus is on the president's Big 4 Agenda," the governor ranted.
The City Hall boss went on to affirm that the Big 4 Agenda was for the betterment of the nation and glory to Uhuru's legacy.
"Here (Nairobi), it is all about the Big 4 Agenda meant for praising His Excellency the president," he added.
During his fiery speech, the county chief launched scathing remarks against the wealthy folks in Nairobi who conspire with politicians to grab public lands.
"Rich tricksters have encroached all the public lands in Embakasi. Be it markets, schools, police station, they just grab anything they see. However, tumewapiga viboko na shetani ashindwe (We have caned them properly and may the devil be defeated)," he furiously stated.
Sonko went on to report that he was impressed with the ongoing numerous developments on markets in the city.
"Work is going on well, we see projects almost being completed with the hawkers' market at 60% and Kierendani market at 75%," he excitedly stated.
He further added that he would fight the vice of corruption both in the national and county government.
"We must fight corruption in Uhuru and Sonko's government," he concluded.
