Ruto Lights Up Dance Floor at Waititu’s Daughter’s Wedding

Deputy President William Ruto was among the high profile guests that attended Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s daughter’s wedding reception.

Ruto, who don a fedora hat, could not resist Sauti Sol’s Rhumba jam and took to the dance floor to show his moves.

The excited second in command smoothly grooved to the jam keenly following the moves he was being shown by the dance lead.

DP Ruto who was accompanied by his son took to the front line and went with the flow of music, smiling ear to ear.

Waititu was not left behind as he tried to compete with the DP and his son who was moving his body effortlessly.

The governor’s daughter Monica Njeri wedded her longtime boyfriend, Herman Nyotu Gitau, at a lavish event held at PCEA Evergreen Church in Runda.

They then proceeded to Windsor Golf and Country Club for their reception.

Before the after party that saw the DP take to the dance floor, he had been given the opportunity to give a speech.

The DP did not disappoint as he gave a speech that left the attending guests in stitches.

"If you are not informed, I want to inform you that the Government of Kenya now pays for maternity issues.

"When it's time for your wife to give birth, as a result of your hard work, the government of Kenya will foot your hospital bill," he told the groom.

The wedding attracted many other high profile guests including Kenya's maiden First Lady, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, Uhuru's brother Muhoho Kenyatta, Transport Principal Secretary, Esther Koimet, Murang'a Woman Representative, Sabina Chege, and Nyandarua Governor, Francis Kimemia.
