A video of West Pokot Governor, Prof. John Lonyangapuo, struggling with an English word has left netizens in stitches.
In the clip, the first-term governor, who is famed for his kijana fupi round jibe, is heard mispronouncing the word 'remuneration'.
Lonyangapuo finally got the word right after 3 attempts.
He was making a remark on the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
While it was not immediately clear whether he was just trying to be funny, many people could not believe that a man with his level of education can struggle with pronunciation.
During his speech, the county boss also took a swipe at Thirdway Alliance Party Leader Ekuru Aukot.
Lonyangapuo claimed that Aukot was focusing on unimportant things yet his fellow constituents were sleeping hungry.
"He has been going around the country with papers claiming that he wants to amend the Constitution.
"I'm sure he's even forgotten where Lodwar is, people are dying of hunger there and he does not want to help Governor Nanok. Does he want to be the president of air?" he posed.
