Lillian Muli Recounts Surprise Arrest of Citizen TV Interview Guest [VIDEO]

Citizen TV's Lillian Muli, during a past interview with Malkia Africa, narrated how detectives from DCI whisked away her guest.

She was scheduled to interview Congolese musician, Koffi Olomide, who at that time (2016, had caused a scene at JKIA after kicking a female dance.

The news anchor found it awkward hosting Olomide because they had been friends but there was an elephant in the room and she had to confront him about it.

"As woman, of course, I was extremely upset about the fact that he did that but then again, I was in that position where I'm like 'why are you passing judgement on this guy first of all?" she recalled.

She explained that though the act was wrong she couldn't castigate him without hearing his side of the story.

"He came to the studio but I had interviewed him about a month before and we had this very nice interview, we danced and we were happy.

"Then he came to the studio again and he thought 'this is my friend so it's not going to be a hostile interview' and then I was there, asking him how could he do that? Who does that?

"He was shocked and Kenyans obviously lynched him, you know Kenyans on Twitter can be quite vicious, and then he was picked up by DCI officers right after the interview, so the whole thing looked like a setup," the screen siren went on narrating.

In the video that went viral, an agitated Koffi was seen heading to the dancer and unleashing a kick on her behind.

Police officers who were at the scene rushed to calm him down before his handlers escorted him to his car which immediately sped off.
