Kanze Dena Opens Up on Prayer Meetings at State House

Statehouse Spokesperson, Kanze Dena, on Tuesday, opened up on the prayer meetings held at the house on the hill.

Speaking during an interview on Hope FM, Kanze revealed that there were currently no sessions for Bible Study at the president's residence.

She, however, revealed that the staff did conduct fellowship which she had not been able to attend due to the busy nature of her job.

"I may not be able to attend the fellowship but I know the topics they discuss and also I brought my Bible to the office for personal reading," she conveyed.

Kanze added that since she took up the job, the National Anthem became part and parcel of her daily prayers.

"Now that I hear it (the National Anthem) over and over again it has become my personal prayer. It is what I actually use to pray for the country. The words are empowering and essentially what we thrive for as a nation," she explained.

She further urged Kenyans to pray for President Uhuru Kenyatta and the administration to have the wisdom to lead the country.

The Statehouse Spokesperson also discussed issues regarding the Big 4 Agenda, the Building Bridges Initiative and the fight against corruption.

"We will develop a better, prosperous country when we unite and work together as one people, as Kenyans. We won't be able to fully transform our nation overnight because it is a process but with dedication and the right mindset, we will get there. This is why the President is passionate about uniting this nation," she detailed.

Kanze further urged young people to change their mindset and engage in activities that would empower them economically, adding that there are many opportunities that require them to think innovatively.

On the fight against corruption, she stated, "it is a cancer that is eating away the Kenyan soul and we all agree that for us to succeed as a nation we must unite in fighting it. That's why the President is leading the corruption war from the front."
